A Day in the Life of the Field Service TechnicianAs a Field Service Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting sophisticated electric press and part handling systems in the field. You'll work hands-on with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, ensuring customers across North America (and occasionally Europe) get the most out of their equipment. Your work directly supports the company's reputation for reliability and technical excellence in advanced manufacturing.
Responsibilities include:Installing new equipment and performing customer acceptance testsProviding remote technical support to the customer baseTroubleshooting equipment issues onsite, performing repairs, and testing to confirm successful fixesDelivering maintenance and operational training to customer personnelWriting detailed, accurate reports upon job completionMaintaining a clean and safe work environmentTraveling extensively throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada, with occasional trips to Europe
Requirements and Qualifications:Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally, for days to weeks at a timeAssociate's degree in Electro-Mechanical or Mechatronics technology OR 3–5 years of relevant experienceStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair skillsBasic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systemsAbility to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and mechanical blueprintsProficiency with common troubleshooting and measuring tools (multimeter, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)Comfortable working independently or as part of a teamValid driver's license
