Pay Range:
$59.00 - $88.50Behavioral Health Charlotte , in collaboration with One Health, are looking for an experienced full-time advanced practice pr ofessional (A P P) specialized in psychiatry to provide quality mental health services to the patients in the Charlotte and surrounding community. This position is occupied by boa rd certified psychiatric nurse p ractitioners (PMHNP-BC) and/or physician assistants (PA) who are specifically trained and proficient in the provision of psychiatric services under the direct supervision of psychiatrists working for the Atrium Health Psychiatry Service Line. The provider in this position will perform psychiatric ev aluations and medication management for adult patients throughout the lifespan . The A P P is responsible for evaluating, stabilizing, and treating patients with acute and chronic mental health diagnoses. This may include, but is not limited to, patients with diagnoses of depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, and schizophrenia.
Position Description:
Outpatient
Full Time; Monday Friday 8am 5pm ; 36 patient contact hours
No weekends, holidays or call
Teaching opportunities with r esidents an d/or A P P Fellows
$2500/ 40 hours of CME
E ligible for moonlighting pay, PTO, and Performance Incentive Bonuses up to 5%
Position Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required . BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required .
Nurse practitioners are required to have a masters degree or doctorate in nursing practice. Certification as psychiatric NP from a nationally recognized certifying body required .
Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.

Demonstrates appropriate critical thin king and interpersonal skills.
