Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist who has completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship to join our established team as a full-time Cardiac Hospitalist in Lafayette, Louisiana.

This opportunity is specifically designed for a fellowship-trained cardiologist who wants to practice 100% inpatient cardiology.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a fellowship-trained cardiologist who:Has completed a U.S. Cardiovascular Disease fellowshipIs Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular DiseaseHas experience in general/non-invasive cardiologyIs specifically interested in practicing full-time inpatient cardiologyWants a position with 100% inpatient responsibilities and no outpatient clinicEnjoys managing hospitalized cardiovascular patients and collaborating with hospital-based teamsValues clinical autonomy while having access to strong clinical and administrative supportIs interested in joining an established cardiovascular organization with a strong reputationIs interested in long-term partnership and practice growthHas completed a U.S. residency programIs eligible for Louisiana medical licensureMay need J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship
Who This Position Is NOT For
This position is not intended for a physician who has completed only an Internal Medicine residency or a traditional Internal Medicine Hospitalist fellowship/training pathway. Applicants must have completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
