Job Description
Sets up and operates CNC and manual press brake equipment to bend, form, and inspect metal components in a job-shop manufacturing environment. Job Requirements Experience operating press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment Experience setting up CNC and manual press brake machines Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools Ability to select, install, and align tooling, dies, and fixtures Experience adjusting back gauges, machine settings, and tooling Ability to load and position raw materials and finished parts Experience performing first-piece and in-process inspections Mechanical knowledge of metal-forming equipment and processes Preferred Skills Experience in a job-shop or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment Experience forming components to tight dimensional tolerances Experience using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and angle gauges Knowledge of bend allowances, bend deductions, material thickness, and forming sequences Experience troubleshooting tooling, machine setup, and dimensional issues Experience performing additional fabrication, material-handling, or shop-support tasks Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and manual press brake machines Bend, form, and shape metal components according to production requirements Review blueprints, work orders, drawings, and GD&T specifications Select and install the appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures Align tooling and configure machines for production runs Adjust machine settings, back gauges, bend angles, and forming sequences Load raw materials and position parts safely and accurately Measure finished parts using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other inspection tools Perform first-piece inspections before beginning production runs Conduct in-process quality checks to verify dimensions and tolerances Make machine and tooling adjustments to correct dimensional issues Document production quantities and inspection results Identify and report damaged tooling, machine issues, and nonconforming parts Perform additional fabrication and general shop duties as assigned Maintain press brake equipment, tooling, and work areas Pay Details: The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
