Senior Admissions Counselling Consultant and Center Manager

About the Role We are looking for a Senior Admissions Counsellor to lead our counselling team at the VFS Global Academy, Dehradun and oversee its day-to-day running. This is a client-facing role where the primary goal is converting enquiries into enrolled students, alongside managing center operations. Training on our course content, structure, placement pathways and operations systems will be provided by our team. Key Responsibilities: Student Counselling & Enrollment Take ownership of moving an enquiry through to enrollment. This is the core measure of success in the role Meet with prospective students (and their families) to understand their background and goals Walk them through the courses we offer, what each one covers, how the learning is delivered, and the placement support available Help each prospective student identify which course is the right fit for them Keep up to date on course content and structure through ongoing internal training Fee Management Explain the fee structure and available payment options clearly to students and parents Collect fees as per schedule and follow up on outstanding payments Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of payments and dues Center Management Oversee the smooth day-to-day functioning of the center Ensure the space is presentable and ready for classes, walk-ins, and counselling sessions Troubleshoot operational issues as they come up and keep things running without constant escalation Team Supervision Manage a junior staff member who handles clerical work for both the counselling and operations side such as scheduling sessions, tracking attendance, follow-up calls and emails, and maintaining online records Review and prioritize this work to make sure leads are followed up on time and records stay current What We're Looking For: Minimum 3 years of experience in counselling, sales, admissions, or another client-facing role (education sector experience is highly preferred) Strong communication skills and genuine ease with people such as the able to listen, build trust, and guide a conversation toward a decision Comfort with numbers including a basic understanding of fee structures, payment tracking, and financial recordkeeping Organized and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and supervise a team member Open to learning and a willingness to go through internal training on course material and processes What You'll Get The experience of working with a large multinational brand based in the education sector, in Dehradun, often called the ‘school capital of India’ A team that's genuinely invested in your growth, with a work culture that balances family-like warmth with professionalism The chance to work directly with children from grassroots communities and play a real role in shaping their careers A long-term association with some of the most established brands, both in India and internationally Work that makes a visible, real-world difference A managerial role with room to grow alongside the center and organization About the Company VFS Global Academy aims to provide vocational education to develop professional talent and to nurture future business leaders for the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
