Our client is a veterinary hospital in Alexandria, Virginia, providing primary and urgent care for dogs and cats and is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Established in 2018, the hospital provides Gold Standard Veterinary and Urgent Care and manages a diverse caseload spanning routine healthcare through more urgent medical needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will manage a diverse and challenging medical caseload, leading patient care from diagnosis through treatment while maintaining high standards of medicine. Responsibilities include urgent care, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, blood analysis, X-rays, medication, and surgical procedures including anesthesia, spay and neuter, soft tissue surgery, mass removal, dental surgery, and fracture repair. The veterinarian will build relationships with clients, clearly communicate clinical findings and treatment plans, and help owners make informed decisions about their pets' care. The role also involves collaborating with the wider clinical and paraprofessional team in a supportive environment focused on high-quality medicine and continued professional growth. This opportunity is for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive primary and urgent veterinary care, with services including wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, urgent care, physical rehabilitation, microchipping, blood analysis, X-rays, medication, fracture repair, and surgery. Surgical services include anesthesia, spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, mass removal, and dental surgery. The hospital provides Primary Care Monday through Friday alongside dedicated Urgent Care seven days a week, allowing the team to manage both routine needs and more urgent situations that do not necessarily require treatment at a 24-hour ICU or specialty center. The hospital's listed opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-9:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM.

The veterinary team includes doctors specializing in general practice, feline medicine, and surgery and works alongside a Practice Owner and Hospital Manager. Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
