Senior bim modeler – drainage/piping

Job Title: Senior MEP BIM Modeler – Drainage/Piping

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Revit MEP with a strong focus on Drainage/Piping systems. At least 3 years of experience in a senior role involving shop drawing production, BIM modeling, and multidisciplinary coordination. Experience working on international projects (Middle East, Europe, UK, Australia, North America, etc.) will be an added advantage.

Education

B. E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred. Diploma holders with exceptional relevant experience may also be considered.

Additional Requirement

Candidates must submit a portfolio/sample drawings demonstrating experience in Drainage shop drawings, BIM modeling, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Develop accurate and detailed Drainage/Piping BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP. Prepare high-quality drainage shop drawings, installation drawings, sections, details, schedules, and associated documentation. Coordinate drainage systems with architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines. Perform clash detection, analyze coordination issues, and resolve clashes using BIM coordination tools. Participate in BIM coordination meetings and implement agreed design changes within project timelines. Ensure models comply with project BIM standards, client requirements, and relevant industry codes. Review consultant drawings, identify discrepancies, and propose practical solutions. Maintain model accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the project lifecycle. Support project teams in delivering coordinated construction documentation within established deadlines. Mentor and guide junior BIM modelers, ensuring quality and adherence to BIM best practices. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to resolve technical and constructability issues. Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Required Skills

Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP. Strong knowledge of Drainage, Sewer, Storm Water, Rainwater, and Wastewater systems. Experience in preparing detailed shop drawings for construction. Hands-on experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination. Good understanding of BIM workflows, LOD requirements, and construction documentation. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project standards. Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience with BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud. Knowledge of Dynamo for Revit is an advantage. Familiarity with international codes and standards (BS, IPC, UPC, AS/NZS, or equivalent). Experience in healthcare, commercial, residential, hospitality, or industrial projects.
