The Senior Engineer in Transmission Software Verification & Validation (V& V;) will be responsible for performing MIL, SIL, and PIL testing of powertrain ECU control software using MATLAB/Simulink and Target Link.
The role involves validating functionality, ensuring high-quality auto-generated code, and
collaborating with cross functional teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and
functional safety.
Key Responsibilities
Develop test scenarios for software components and systems based on functional requirements. Analyze and apply industry standards such as MAAB, MISRA, and HIS. Perform scaling and auto code generation using Target Link or Embedded Coder. Analyze and resolve critical warnings/errors during Target Link code generation. Conduct model/code complexity checks and runtime/performance analysis on production-level code. Develop strategies, tools, and automation scripts to enhance software development efficiency. Integrate powertrain software modules and generate flash/hex/build files. Understanding of ISO 26262 / Functional Safety (added advantage).Required Skills & Tools
MATLAB/Simulink modeling, testing, and validation. Target Link and Embedded Coder expertise. Experience with MIL/SIL/PIL validation. Knowledge of modeling and coding guidelines (MAAB, MISRA, HIS). Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety concepts. Automation scripting (MATLAB/Python preferred). Build and flashing tools for automotive ECU software.Years of experience : 4-7 Years
