Job Description

A premier US-based CPA firm is expanding its global team and seeking an elite Senior US Tax Reviewer. This high-impact role is designed for a technical tax expert who can lead quality control, manage complex international compliance, and mentor a growing team of India-based tax processors. We are not looking for a processor; we need an autonomous, sharp reviewer who takes full ownership of the tax lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Review & Quality Oversight: Act as the final line of defense, performing meticulous reviews on complex Individual (Form 1040), Corporate, Partnership, Trust, and Exempt returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 990) to ensure 100% accuracy.

  • International Tax & Compliance: Navigate complex overseas income, cross-border tax laws, foreign tax credits, foreign earned income exclusions, and information filings (FBAR, FATCA).

  • Multi-State Tax Execution: Solve intricate multi-state tax filings, non-resident state returns, and state allocation/apportionment complexities.

  • Mentorship & Development: Lead, train, and upskill junior India-based tax processors, fostering technical rigor and standardizing quality controls.

  • Client & HQ Advisory: Directly interface with US clients and leadership, proactively resolving high-level tax inquiries with white-glove service.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in US Taxation (Individual & Business), with a minimum of 4 years actively serving in a Reviewer role .

  • Location: Must currently reside in Mumbai, Pune, or Chennai (Remote position strictly restricted to these regions).

  • Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in Form 1040, international taxation of overseas income, multi-state tax rules, and Intuit ProSeries (or equivalent enterprise tax software).

  • Qualifications: Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is strongly preferred.

  • Communication: Clear, direct English communication skills for direct US client engagement.

Work Schedule

  • Standard Shift: Monday – Friday (12:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST) and Saturday (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM IST).
