Instrument Engineer

Develops instrumentation and controls engineering documentation, equipment specifications, and control system requirements for industrial process applications. Job Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).

Experience in instrumentation engineering.

Experience creating instrument datasheets.

Experience developing I/O lists.

Experience creating process and instrumentation-related engineering sheets.

Experience sizing control valves.

Experience sizing flow elements.

Experience creating Fire & Gas instrumentation datasheets.

Knowledge of IEC standards and applicable international electrical codes.

Experience with automation and control systems.

Experience with industrial instrumentation.

Experience with motor control systems.

Preferred Skills Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems.

Experience with GE Mark VIe turbine control systems.

Experience supporting industrial process, power generation, or energy projects.

Experience developing control system documentation and instrument specifications.

Experience working with customer-facing engineering deliverables and technical design reviews.

Job Responsibilities Create and maintain instrument datasheets for process instrumentation.

Develop and maintain I/O lists for control and automation systems.

Prepare instrumentation engineering documentation and process sheets.

Size and specify control valves and flow measurement elements.

Develop Fire & Gas instrumentation datasheets and related technical documentation.

Select and specify instrumentation based on process and project requirements.

Support automation, controls, and motor control system engineering activities.

Ensure instrumentation and electrical documentation complies with applicable IEC standards and project requirements.

Review instrumentation and controls requirements with customers and project stakeholders.

Support technical design reviews and customer-facing engineering discussions.

Coordinate instrumentation requirements with electrical, process, automation, and controls engineering functions.
