Job Description Develop project design bases, engineering assumptions, design criteria, scope boundaries, and exclusions for project opportunities. Prepare conceptual engineering deliverables, including: Single-line diagrams Equipment layouts Bills of material (BOMs) Equipment specifications Technical datasheets Procurement inquiry packages Support estimating activities through: Quantity takeoffs Equipment selection Labor and productivity assumptions Schedule development inputs Technical clarifications Review client requirements, specifications, drawings, and site information to identify: Technical risks Scope gaps Constructability concerns Design uncertainties Collaborate with estimators, project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and subject matter experts to develop complete project definitions and estimate-ready packages. Apply engineering standards, company design practices, and established governance processes throughout project development. Participate in technical reviews, proposal development efforts, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings. Document engineering assumptions, lessons learned, and continuous improvement opportunities. Support project handoff activities by providing complete and well-documented development packages for detailed engineering and execution teams. Perform additional duties as assigned. The Successful Applicant A successful Electrical Project Development Engineer should have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience supporting project development, conceptual engineering, estimating, proposal development, FEED/FEL activities, or EPC project execution. Demonstrated ability to develop conceptual engineering solutions with limited supervision. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. What's on Offer Competitive salary ranging from $165,000 to $180,000 annually.
