Job DescriptionWe are hiring Aircraft Mechanics to support a large aerospace and aviation operation in San Antonio.
This position focuses heavily on aircraft structural modification, maintenance, and repair. Mechanics will perform close-tolerance drilling, reaming, riveting, sealing, shimming, and structural installation while working from engineering drawings and technical documentation.Responsibilities include:Perform close-tolerance drilling and reaming on critical aircraft structuresInstall and remove aircraft structural componentsPerform aircraft sheet metal and structural repairsPerform sealing, painting, shimming, and structural preservationRead engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirementsUse aircraft structural tooling, fixtures, and specialized hand toolsTroubleshoot and replace aircraft mechanical componentsSupport other mechanics, avionics, and electronics team members
What We Are Looking For1+ year of experience working with metals such as aluminum, titanium, or stainless steel1+ year reading schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, or SOPs1+ year using aircraft structural toolsExperience with 45/90-degree drills, rivet guns, countersink cages, pancake adapters, or hole findersExperience working with aircraft structures such as stringers, webs, or seat tracksAbility to work either 1st or 2nd shift based on business needsAbility to support overtime, weekends, or holidays when requiredAbility to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift approximately 35 pounds
Preferred: xzbcwsv C-17 or other heavy aircraft maintenance experienceDepot-level aircraft maintenance experienceExperience with titanium aircraft structuresForklift, mobile crane, or powered elevating equipment experience
