Big Brains Learning is looking for an experienced PTE instructor and mentor who can create and deliver practical PTE Academic preparation course content for university students, professionals and aspiring international students.Company: Big Brains LearningPosition: PTE MentorEmployment Type: Contract BasedWork Mode: RemoteDepartment: English LanguageContract Duration: Project or Contract BasedRole OverviewThe selected candidate will teach students the major components of the PTE examination and help them improve their English language skills, understand question types, develop exam strategies and practice using realistic PTE-style exercises.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and structure PTE course content according to an agreed curriculum.Deliver clear, practical and engaging PTE lessons.Explain the PTE Academic examination format and scoring structure.Teach students strategies for Speaking and Writing tasks.Teach Reading question types and effective solving techniques.Teach Listening question types and note-taking strategies.Help students improve pronunciation, fluency, grammar and vocabulary.Explain time management and examination strategies.Conduct practical PTE exercises and mock tests.Review student performance and provide constructive feedback.Identify common mistakes and provide methods for improvement.Guide students through assignments and practice tests.Answer student questions related to PTE preparation.Coordinate with the Big Brains team regarding curriculum, student progress and content delivery.Course ContentThe course may cover PTE test format, Speaking and Writing, Reading, Listening, pronunciation, oral fluency, grammar, vocabulary, question types, time management, answering strategies, mock tests, scoring strategies and practical PTE exercises.The exact curriculum, course duration, number of sessions, projects and assignments will be mutually agreed upon before the contract begins.DeliverablesThe mentor will be responsible for delivering the agreed course sessions and learning materials.The mentor may also provide practice tests, assignments, speaking exercises, writing tasks, study resources, mock tests and student evaluations depending on the agreed course scope.Contract and PaymentThis is a contract based position.Compensation will be mutually agreed upon according to the course scope, duration and responsibilities.Payment may be based on individual sessions, milestones, complete course delivery or another mutually agreed arrangement.RequirementsStrong knowledge of PTE Academic examination format and requirements.Strong English language proficiency.Experience teaching PTE Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening.Understanding of PTE scoring and assessment criteria.Strong grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation knowledge.Excellent communication and teaching skills.Ability to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.Strong mentoring skills.Previous PTE teaching or mentoring experience will be considered an advantage.Student MentoringThe mentor should maintain a supportive learning environment and help students improve their English proficiency and examination performance through structured practice and feedback.Quality ReviewCourse content and mentoring sessions may be reviewed by the Big Brains team to ensure educational quality and alignment with the agreed curriculum.ConfidentialityThe mentor agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding non-public information received from Big Brains, including student information and unpublished course material.TerminationEither party may terminate the contract according to the termination conditions specified in the final agreement.BenefitsOpportunity to mentor university students.Opportunity to build a professional teaching and PTE mentoring portfolio.Potential for future course creation and mentoring contracts.Opportunity to collaborate with Big Brains on English language education projects.Big Brains LearningLearn, Build and Launch
