Locum | Infectious Disease Physician

Job Overview

We’re supporting an Indian Health Service (IHS) clinic with Infectious Disease coverage and are looking for a physician interested in a flexible, no-call locum assignment.

This is a low-burnout, weekday-only role with a balanced mix of inpatient consults and outpatient care.

Schedule

Monday–Friday

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

No call, no weekends, no holidays

Clinical Scope

• Inpatient consults: ~2–4/day
• Outpatient visits: ~10–12/day
• Focus on HIV, Tuberculosis, General infectious diseases
• Occasional provider consult questions during business hours

Flexibility

Open to full-time or part-time coverage

Locum / contract-friendly structure

Opportunity for extension based on fit

Requirements

• Board Certified in Infectious Disease
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license (any U.S. state)
• BLS certification
• Ability to complete IHS credentialing (4–6 weeks typical)
