Data Management Team Lead
Brooksource · Nashville metropolitan area, United States
Job Description
Program Overview
Brooksource (a division of Eight Eleven Group) is partnering with the State of Tennessee on a statewide ERP readiness and modernization initiative. As part of this engagement, we are building out the Business Process Improvement (BPI) workstream team, which runs structured workshops with State agency stakeholders to document current-state processes, validate pain points, and define future-state requirements ahead of the State's ERP implementation.
Role Summary
The Integrations, Data & Quality Lead owns data integration strategy and deliverable quality standards across the BPI workstream — mapping data flows between legacy State systems (including Edison) and the future-state ERP, and serving as the quality reviewer for workshop deliverables, requirements, and process documentation before they go to the client. This role has grown from an original Quality Assurance / Deliverable Editor seat into a broader data-integration and quality function as program needs evolved.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document data integration requirements and mapping between current-state (Edison) and future-state ERP systems across BPI functional tracks.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and review checkpoints for workstream deliverables (process flows, requirements, decision logs).
- Serve as final quality reviewer for key BPI deliverables before submission to the State, flagging inconsistencies, gaps, or non-compliance with the BPI Playbook.
- Partner with Business Analysts, Documentation Specialists, and track leads to resolve data and documentation discrepancies across workstreams.
- Coordinate with the State's technical/integration stakeholders (Milind Kumble, Michelle Flynn) on data structure, mapping, and quality expectations.
- Support kickoff and onboarding of new workstream resources on data standards and deliverable quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with data integration, data governance, or data quality roles on ERP implementation or large-scale system modernization programs.
- Strong attention to detail with experience establishing and enforcing documentation or deliverable quality standards across a team.
- Working knowledge of data mapping/conversion concepts between legacy and modern ERP systems; public-sector or Edison/PeopleSoft experience a plus.
- Comfortable operating as both a hands-on contributor and a quality gatekeeper across multiple functional tracks.
- Professional presentation and communication required for all client-facing interactions, including on camera.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving state-government engagement with both remote and in-person sessions.
- Prior experience on ERP implementations, business process improvement, or large-scale public-sector transformation programs is strongly preferred.
