Job Description

About the Role:

As an X-Ray Technician at Humanitary Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the diagnostic imaging department, providing essential support to physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform high-quality X-ray examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. You will be expected to operate advanced imaging equipment, maintain accurate patient records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Additionally, you will be responsible for adhering to safety protocols and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the imaging equipment. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current certification as an X-Ray Technician from a recognized body.
  • Valid state license to practice as an X-Ray Technician.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Additional certifications in advanced imaging techniques.
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders.
  • Ensure patient safety by following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain and operate X-ray equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and assist in patient care.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and a strong understanding of radiographic techniques, which are essential for producing high-quality images. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will need to ensure that all images are clear and meet diagnostic standards. Strong communication skills will be utilized daily to explain procedures to patients and collaborate with medical staff. Additionally, problem-solving skills will come into play when addressing any technical issues with the imaging equipment. Preferred skills, such as bilingual communication, will enhance patient interactions and improve overall patient experience.
