Salary: $90,000 - 180,000 per year Requirements:

• We seek a candidate with 7+ years of experience producing high-quality, robust embedded software; the posting also lists 5 years of embedded Linux, microcontroller, or RTOS experience as required.
• Embedded Linux application development in C/C++, with Python and Bash for tooling and test scripting.
• Familiarity with concurrent, multi-process design and service management using systemd.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and communication methods, including TCP/UDP, IPC, and messaging frameworks such as ZeroMQ.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and device-tree configuration on custom boards.
• Experience developing on NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded SoCs.
• Ability to bring up hardware interfaces and debug I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and USB drivers.
• Low-level microcontroller development experience, such as STM32 or PIC.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and low-level instrumentation.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience with ArduPilot is a strong plus.
• A bachelors degree is required.
• US Person status is required, defined in the posting as US citizenship or lawful admission for permanent residence.
• Ability to relocate to Moorpark, California, before starting work is required.

• Develop flight software applications for embedded Linux platforms used in unmanned aircraft.
• Work with hardware engineers to bring up new boards, integrate device drivers, and validate software and electronics interfaces.
• Maintain board support package software for embedded Linux platforms.
• Create reliable software solutions that meet internal and external requirements.
• Plan and perform module-, subsystem-, and system-level software testing using automation tools, simulation frameworks, and structured procedures.
• Support deployment, configuration, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of software across a distributed fleet of embedded devices.
