We are seeking an experienced AVP Underwriter to underwrite large account construction casualty business. This role blends technical expertise, relationship management, and strategic sales execution to drive profitable growth. Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate new and renewal submissions, identifying exposures and structuring tailored loss sensitive construction businessUnderwrite W/C, General Liability and Auto coverageGeneral Contractors, Specialty Trades, Heavy Construction, etc.,.Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage terms; develop and present competitive proposalsBuild and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers in the local assigned territoryDrive new business through strategic positioning and pipeline development
Qualifications4+ years of underwriting construction industry segments idealStrong knowledge of General Liability, W/C, and Auto coverages requiredExpertise in loss sensitive casualty business requiredRetail brokerage network base in the Northeast territory idealBachelor’s degree required; CPCU or similar designation preferred
