Job Description
We are looking for an Architectural / Interior Designer Intern who wants to experience what it actually takes to take a space from an idea to something that gets built.
At Decofice , you will work alongside our design and execution teams on live residential, commercial, and hospitality projects across both architecture and interiors , gaining exposure to the complete design-to-construction process. This is not a role limited to making presentations or drafting drawings—you will get to understand how design decisions translate into real spaces, materials, details, and site execution.
What You’ll Work On- Assist in concept development, space planning, and design development for live projects.
- Prepare and develop 2D drawings, working drawings, layouts, and detailed drawings .
- Create 3D models, views, and design presentations for client and internal discussions.
- Assist in developing material palettes, furniture layouts, finishes, and interior details .
- Participate in site visits and understand how drawings and design concepts are translated into execution.
- Assist with site coordination, measurements, documentation, and execution-related requirements .
- Coordinate with architects, designers, vendors, consultants, and execution teams as required.
- Research materials, products, design references, and construction solutions .
- Get exposure to AI-driven design tools and workflows used to improve the design process.
- Understand how client requirements, budgets, materials, site conditions, and execution constraints influence design decisions.
- Prepare mood boards and presentations for projects.
- Students pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design .
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp ; knowledge of Revit, Photoshop, or other design tools is a plus.
- A good understanding of design fundamentals, space planning, materials, and detailing .
- Someone who is curious about both design and execution , not just visual presentation.
- Willingness to visit sites and understand the practical side of construction.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A proactive attitude with the willingness to learn, take responsibility, and ask questions .
- A strong eye for detail and genuine interest in creating thoughtful, functional spaces.
- Comfortable being on camera is a plus.
- Candidates should have their own laptops.
- Proficiency in rendering is required.
End-to-End Exposure: Understand how a project moves from concept and design development to drawings, materials, site execution, and completion.
Live Project Experience: Work on actual projects rather than only hypothetical studio assignments.
Design + Execution Learning: Learn how drawings, materials, details, and design intent come together on site.
Mentorship & Collaboration: Work closely with experienced architects, designers, and execution teams and learn through real project challenges.
Industry Exposure: Gain practical exposure to residential, hospitality, interiors, and architectural projects, along with the opportunity to collaborate with different professionals across the industry.
