Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with three to six years of construction-related transactional experience to join its Construction and Infrastructure Transactions practice in Chicago, IL. The team handles sophisticated contracts for large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate EPC agreements, design-build documents, and alternative delivery contracts.
• Advise on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, and bonding.
• Communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in independently drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts.
• Hands-on experience with critical commercial terms.
• Excellent legal writing skills and strong academic credentials.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
