A leading public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager or Director specializing in the Professional Services sector. This is a senior, market-facing leadership opportunity for a seasoned tax professional with deep expertise across partnerships, corporations, and individual shareholder and partner tax matters.The ideal candidate will combine strong technical tax expertise with exceptional client relationship and business development skills. This individual will serve as a strategic advisor to clients, help grow the practice through new business development and market-facing initiatives, and mentor and develop a high-performing tax team. The position is based in New York, NY with a hybrid schedule.ResponsibilitiesServe as a strategic tax advisor to Professional Services clientsOversee complex tax planning and compliance engagements across partnerships, corporations, and individualsAdvise clients on complex federal, state, and local tax mattersDevelop strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining complianceBuild and strengthen long-term client relationshipsIdentify new business opportunities and expand existing client relationshipsDevelop and execute business development strategies to grow the practiceRepresent the practice at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunitiesMentor and develop tax professionals across multiple levelsProvide technical guidance and training on complex tax mattersLead performance evaluations and career development initiativesReview and approve technical tax research, memoranda, returns, and other client deliverablesRequirements8+ years of progressive tax experience in public accountingSignificant experience serving Professional Services clients xzbcwsv Strong expertise in partnership and corporate taxationExperience with individual taxation for shareholders and partnersCPA, EA, or Law License requiredStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax lawsProven experience with complex tax planning and complianceStrong client relationship and communication skillsDemonstrated success in business development and practice growthProven leadership and team development experienceStrong technical research and analytical capabilitiesAbility to operate effectively in a market-facing leadership role
