Lead accountant

IT By Design is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Lead Accountant to own and manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations for our India entity. This is a high-impact role with a defined growth path toward a Global Finance Lead position supporting operations across India, the US, and the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Manage financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, and audits Oversee payroll, statutory compliance, and tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, etc.) Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, treasury, and cash flow forecasting Prepare management reports, financial analysis, budgets, and forecasts Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and stronger financial controls Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support business growth and decision-making

What We're Looking Fo r

8–12+ years of progressive Accounting & Finance experience Strong expertise in financial reporting, month-end close, payroll, AR/AP, treasury, and compliance Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, Income Tax, audits, and statutory filings Advanced Excel skills and strong accounting fundamentals Quick Books experience preferred Experience in a services, technology, or fast-paced business environment preferred Exposure to Power BI, ERP systems, finance automation, or AI tools is a plus
