Admission Counsellor

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic Admission Counsellor to lead nurture our education consultants / partners. The candidate will be responsible for equipping partners with the knowledge and tools necessary to guide students through the admission process. The role also involves closely monitoring the application journey and aimed at conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development:

Conduct regular training sessions for admission consultants and their counselors on college offerings, admission criteria, benefits, and USPs.

Ensure all consultants and their Counselors are aligned with updated information, FAQs, and communication guidelines.

Conversion Strategy & Support:

Work closely with consultants to monitor lead progress and follow up on shortlisted candidates.

Guide consultants in handling objections and improve the conversion funnel from inquiry to registration.

Personally assist in high-potential or escalated cases to close admissions.

Process Management:

Design amd Maintain SOPs for student counseling, documentation, and registration.

Oversee the smooth execution of the selection process (counseling, interviews, documentation, etc.).

Coordinate with college admission teams to get timely updates on student selections.

Student Engagement & Closure:

Develop scripts and follow-up formats for post-selection communication.

Ensure that selected students receive all necessary guidance and reminders until registration fee is paid.

Track and report registration conversion rates and identify gaps or bottlenecks.

Reporting & Analysis:

Maintain dashboards for consultant performance, student status, and conversion metrics.

Provide regular reports to senior management and suggest improvements based on data insights.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of admission procedures and education systems (especially MBA/PGDM preferred).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.

Leadership and team management capability.

Target-driven and result-oriented.

Conflict resolution and objection-handling expertise.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration. Haviing experience from any customer facing vertical ( preferably from hospitality / aviation / customer care etc)

Prior experience in managing or training a team is preferred.

Languages Know: English & Hindi (Mandatory)

Remuneration: 4-6 LPA (Fixed + Incentives based on conversions)
