Field Service Technician

A leading manufacturer of filling and packaging systems for beverages and liquid food if adding to their fully remote field service team, nationwide! We are looking for technicians who can travel via plane 90-95% of the time, within their region, and be the face of our client as they work to troubleshoot and fix machinery.

What You'll DoReceives trip assignment from inside schedulers and make travel arrangements to arrive on time according to customer requirements.Interview customers to determine machine problems and then performs basic troubleshooting on machine functioningPerforms hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on machines to ensure machine is functioning correctly according to specificationsCoordinate with customer and parts department to order any needed partsTroubleshoots and modifies or edits programs of Programmable Logic Controllers.Audit and documents missing or bypassed safety devices on machines and replace or repair.Train customers for successful operation and maintenanceShow operators how to do changes for different size or format packagingWork under the direction of senior technicians to start-up new machines, checks power system and wiring; observes lockout tag out process to check machine components functionalityEstablish that product is moving through properlyCommunicates with internal staff to solve technical problems or project issues.Prepares concise, accurate, professional and timely Equipment Acceptance Reports, Service Work Reports, Expense Reports and other support documentation for customer visits; communicates with internal staff to report on service activitiesComplete and submit reportsPeriodically inspects customer spare parts inventory and recommends additional parts orders as needed for successful equipment maintenance and operation. xzbcwsv
Skills NeededStrong mechanical and/or electrical skillsAnalytical thinking for solving technical tasksProgrammable Logic Controller’s (PLC) experience, electrical and/or mechanicalFlexibility, assertiveness and organizational skillsSelf-confidence and friendly appearanceWillingness to travel up to 90% of the timePassport or willingness to obtain a passport
Base salary of $80,000 - $90,000 base + per-diem, guaranteed OT and more!
