- Managing and coordinating projects from planning and pre-construction through construction, closeout, and turnover
- Coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, construction managers, consultants, agency representatives, facility personnel, and other project stakeholders
- Monitoring project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and contract compliance
- Conducting regular site visits and monitoring construction progress and contractor performance
- Leading and participating in pre-construction, progress, coordination, and punch-list meetings
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, schedules, and other technical documentation
- Reviewing contractor proposals, estimates, schedules of values, pay applications, change orders, and claims
- Identifying potential schedule, cost, quality, safety, and constructability issues and coordinating timely corrective actions
- Reviewing project schedules, baseline updates, look-ahead schedules, milestones, and overall project progress
- Coordinating permitting, inspections, testing, regulatory requirements, and project closeout activities
- Interfacing with NYC agencies, contractors, consultants, facility representatives, and other stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate project records, meeting minutes, reports, correspondence, and closeout documentation
- Supporting contract administration, procurement, bidding, change management, and issue resolution as required
- Managing multiple assignments and priorities while maintaining strong client service and communication
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; relevant construction experience may be considered depending on the assignment
- Minimum 5 years of relevant construction, project management, construction management, engineering, or general contracting experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with building demolition and ground-up (new) construction projects required
- Experience with public-sector capital construction projects is highly desirable
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and cost information
- Knowledge of construction administration, scheduling, estimating, cost control, change orders, RFIs, submittals, inspections, and project closeout
- Familiarity with NYC permitting, building codes, and regulatory agencies is preferred
- Experience working with NYC SCA/DOE, DDC, NYCHA, MTA, DASNY, DEP, DOT, or other government agencies/authorities is a plus
- Experience with JOC, IDIQ, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, or other public-sector delivery methods is desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar construction management tools is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Ability to travel locally to project sites throughout New York City as required
- Strong MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) experience is a major plus
