Referrals/Front Desk CoordinatorThe Referrals/Front Desk Coordinator will be responsible for preparing and processing all managed care referral paperwork, as well as assisting patients with check-in, authorizations, and handling phone calls. This group is looking for someone who is interested in being part of a dynamic team that focuses on excellent service to others while handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.Job ResponsibilitiesProcess patients' referrals and ensure that patients are scheduled for their recommended non-PCP appointmentsLiaise between Medicare patients/offices and the providers, making sure to effectively process, monitor and communicate all aspects of the patients' referralsMaintain list of all preferred specialists and ancillary providers for the assigned areaObtain referral authorizations if required by the health planCall the referred Specialists and schedule appointment for patientsCommunicate respectfully and effectively with patients regarding appointmentsFollow guidelines/workflows to complete & log all referrals processed through systemMeet monthly/quarterly goals regarding utilization and process of ordered referralsMaintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulationsAssist with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification/authorizationFront Office Duties as assignedJob QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentTwo (2) years of experience as a Referral Coordinator in a Primary Care setting, experience within a medical office environment or in a healthcare position; i.e. Front Office Receptionist, Medical Assistant and/or Referral CoordinatorBenefitsComprehensive benefits package, including Health, Vision, Dental, and Life insurancesFSA and Life Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) Retirement PlanHealth Advocacy, Travel Assistance, and My Secure AdvantagePTO Accrual and Holidays
