ABOUT TWIGS DIRECT

Twigs Direct is a luxury bespoke wooden furniture brand focused on creating thoughtfully designed, beautifully crafted pieces for residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces.

We are looking for a versatile Furniture + Interior Designer who can work across both furniture design and interior spaces - designing bespoke furniture pieces while also developing complete interior concepts for client homes, hotels, and commercial projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design bespoke furniture pieces from concept through production-ready development.

• Develop interior design concepts, layouts, mood boards, and material palettes for residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.

• Create detailed 3D models, renders, technical drawings, and production drawings using Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar software.

• Coordinate furniture placement, spatial layouts, materials, finishes, and overall aesthetics within a space.

• Collaborate closely with production, CNC, carpentry, and workshop teams to ensure design intent is maintained through manufacturing.

• Prepare client presentations and confidently present design concepts to clients.

• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into thoughtful, functional, and aesthetically refined spaces.

• Develop design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, manufacturing feasibility, and project requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of professional experience in furniture design, interior design, or a combination of both.

• Strong 3D modelling and rendering skills.

• Proficiency in Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar design software.

• Good understanding of space planning, materials, furniture construction, finishes, and manufacturing processes.

• Strong eye for proportion, detail, aesthetics, and functionality.

• Ability to take a project from initial concept through design development and execution.

• Strong communication and client presentation skills.

• Genuine interest in bespoke, luxury, residential, and hospitality design.

• AI-forward approach: comfortable using AI tools to accelerate ideation, visualisation, research, presentations, documentation, and overall design workflows.

PREFERRED / BONUS SKILLS

• Experience with CNC or laser cutting workflows.

• Experience with BOQs, costing, and material estimation.

• Experience working on hotel or hospitality projects.

• Experience with client servicing and presentations.

• Experience working directly with furniture manufacturers, workshops, or craftsmen.
