Business Manager - PMO

Role Purpose

Enable Technology Leadership to focus on strategic priorities by driving workforce management, governance, financial oversight, operational excellence, and leadership support. Act as a key liaison across Technology, People & Culture, Finance, Procurement, Risk, and external stakeholders to ensure effective governance, data integrity, compliance, and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and headcount tracking.
• Lead demand governance, role approvals, and Demand Register accuracy.
• Support budget management, cost tracking, accruals, and procurement activities.
• Govern operational reporting, dashboards, MIS, and workforce metrics.
• Ensure compliance with risk, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership insights, stakeholder coordination, and colleague engagement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurate workforce and headcount management.
• Effective demand governance and approval outcomes.
• Strong financial and commercial controls.
• High-quality reporting and operational excellence.
• Proactive risk management and compliance.
• Timely, data-driven support for leadership decision-making.

Experience

• 5+ yrs experience in Business Management, PMO, Workforce Management, or Operations.
• Exposure to governance, financial tracking, and reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

Risk Accountability

Responsible for complying with NAB policies, controls, and regulatory requirements, and for identifying and escalating risks as needed.
