Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with 4-6 years of privacy and cybersecurity experience to join the Technology Transactions, Cybersecurity & Privacy Practice Group in Chicago, IL. Alternate office locations may be considered based on business needs and the candidate's experience.

Duties

• Advise on privacy and cybersecurity compliance and incident response.
• Conduct data breach investigations and notifications.
• Perform privacy assessments and data mapping exercises.
• Develop security and privacy policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Experience with U.S. state, federal, and international privacy regulations.
• Strong writing, analytical, and oral communication skills.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• CIPP or other relevant industry certification valued.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional work ethic.
• Interest or capabilities in technology, licensing, or cybersecurity.
