What You'll Do as a Senior Construction Project ManagerLead and support Project Managers, providing direction, resources, and accountability to keep construction projects running smoothly.Oversee construction schedules from signed contract through completion, ensuring projects stay on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Manage purchasing and procurement, including subcontractor selection, vendor relationships, material orders, and pricing negotiations.Coordinate pre-construction planning, including project budgets, timelines, job packets, and kickoff meetings to set each project up for success.Monitor job site progress, working with Project Managers to maintain quality craftsmanship, safety, cleanliness, and efficient material deliveries.Develop and improve construction processes, train Project Managers, and lead weekly production meetings to strengthen team performance.Review subcontractor quotes, change orders, and project costs to protect profitability and maintain financial targets.Report production progress, project performance, and operational results to executive leadership while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Our Ideal Senior Construction Project ManagerExperienced Construction Leader: At least 5 years of construction management experience (Foreman or Superintendent) plus 2 years of project management experience.Construction Knowledge: Understand the entire construction process, from design through completion, with commercial or agricultural construction experience preferred.Organized Problem-Solver: Effectively prioritize projects, navigate tight deadlines, and find practical solutions in a fast-paced construction environment.Tech-Savvy Professional: Possess strong computer skills, preferably including Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and FileMaker.Qualified and Adaptable: Hold a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with the ability to navigate varied job site terrain and travel to projects as needed.Values-Driven Team Leader: Communicate clearly, embrace new ideas, and lead with integrity, humility, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
