Position Summary
Global manufacturing company in Chicago office seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and AP/AR activities. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliationsSupport month-end and year-end close processesPrepare financial reports and reporting packagesManage inventory accounting and related reservesMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesPrepare and reconcile intercompany transactionsAssist with cash forecasting and reportingSupport internal and external auditsProcess AP activities, including wire transfers and 1099 reportingAssist with AR reconciliations and related accounting activitiesEnsure compliance with GAAP and company policiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or equivalent certificationMinimum 5 years of accounting experienceKnowledge of GAAPExperience with month-end close and general ledger accountingStrong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, functions)Experience xzbcwsv with NetSuite or similar ERP systemsExperience with inventory accounting and reconciliationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred ExperienceManufacturing or distribution industry accountingFixed asset accountingIntercompany accounting and reconciliations
