Job Description

Company Description

E-Waste Recyclers India (EWRI) is one of India’s established e-waste recycling and IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) companies, with nearly 18 years of industry experience. As a women-led, R2v3-certified organization, EWRI provides secure, compliant, and sustainable technology lifecycle solutions across India.

EWRI serves 5,000+ clients, including global enterprises, OEMs, institutions, government organizations, and international ITAD and recycling partners requiring execution across India.

With 50,000+ MT of combined processing capacity, our capabilities span ITAD, secure data sanitization and destruction, data center decommissioning, refurbishment and reuse, asset recovery and remarketing, e-waste recycling, plastics recovery, and battery recycling.

As EWRI continues to scale, we are investing in technology-driven traceability, automation, operational visibility, and customer reporting across the entire IT asset disposition process.

About the Role

EWRI is looking for an experienced CRM & Business Systems Architect to help us design the digital foundation for our next stage of growth.

This is a business-process and solution-architecture role. We have not pre-selected a CRM or technology platform . The successful candidate will work directly with management and internal teams to understand how our business operates, map current and future requirements, evaluate suitable technology platforms, and recommend the right architecture for EWRI.

The initial focus will be designing and implementing a scalable CRM covering sales, customer relationships, business development, international partnerships, direct outreach, asset sourcing, and auction opportunities.

The system will subsequently need to integrate with or expand into ITAD project management, pickups and logistics, asset tracking, data security, inventory, refurbishment, remarketing, recycling, reporting, field operations, and customer-facing portals.

The objective is to create a connected business operating platform rather than implement a standalone CRM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with management and internal teams to understand, map, and document existing business processes.
  • Conduct structured requirements-gathering sessions across sales, operations, logistics, finance, warehouse, ITAD, and management teams.
  • Map current-state workflows and design scalable future-state processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies, manual processes, duplicated data, and opportunities for automation.
  • Define the functional and technical requirements for EWRI's CRM.
  • Design workflows for accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, direct outreach, quotations, follow-ups, approvals, partner management, and customer relationships.
  • Design requirements for international ITAD partner development and onboarding.
  • Design workflows for direct asset sourcing, supplier opportunities, inventory offers, and auction tracking.
  • Evaluate suitable CRM, ERP, low-code, and business application platforms based on EWRI's requirements.
  • Compare platforms based on functionality, scalability, customization, integration capabilities, security, user experience, implementation complexity, and total cost of ownership.
  • Recommend the appropriate technology stack and implementation architecture.
  • Design the integration between CRM and future ITAD operational systems.
  • Define data structures, workflows, automation rules, user roles, permissions, audit trails, dashboards, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications and implementation documentation.
  • Work closely with developers and/or implementation partners during development.
  • Review development to ensure the system aligns with approved business processes and architecture.
  • Lead or support UAT, deployment planning, employee training, and user adoption.
  • Establish a long-term roadmap for extending the platform into ITAD operations and other business functions.
Future System Scope

The architecture should be capable of supporting future modules including:

  • ITAD project and site management
  • Pickup and logistics management
  • Asset and serial-number tracking
  • Data sanitization and destruction
  • Field technician/mobile workflows
  • Chain-of-custody tracking
  • Exception management
  • Automated reports and certificates
  • Warehouse and inventory management
  • Refurbishment and grading
  • Asset recovery and remarketing
  • Recycling and downstream tracking
  • Customer and international partner portals
  • Financial reconciliation and project profitability
  • Management dashboards and business intelligence
Required Skills & Experience

  • CRM and/or ERP solution architecture
  • Business process mapping and process redesign
  • Requirements gathering and functional specification
  • CRM implementation and configuration
  • Data architecture and workflow design
  • Business process automation
  • API and third-party integrations
  • User roles, permissions, security, and governance
  • Reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence
  • UAT, deployment, and user adoption
  • Experience working directly with business users and senior management
  • Experience taking business applications from discovery through implementation

Experience with multiple platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Salesforce, Odoo, Zoho, HubSpot, SAP, or similar enterprise business systems will be highly valued.

The candidate should be capable of evaluating technologies objectively rather than being dependent on a single platform.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who thinks business process first and software second .

The successful candidate should be comfortable sitting with our teams and observing how work actually happens — from a customer enquiry or outbound approach through quotation, project execution, asset processing, reporting, and commercial closure.

We want someone capable of asking the right questions, challenging inefficient processes, identifying what should and should not be automated, and translating the resulting requirements into a scalable system architecture.

The ideal candidate has previously been involved in the complete lifecycle:

Business Discovery → Process Mapping → Requirements Gathering → Platform Evaluation → Solution Architecture → Implementation → Testing/UAT → Deployment → User Adoption → Continuous Improvement

Experience: 3+ years preferred.

Initial Assignment

The first phase will be to:

  1. Understand and document EWRI's existing processes.
  2. Define our future-state workflows.
  3. Develop detailed CRM requirements.
  4. Evaluate suitable technology platforms.
  5. Recommend the appropriate platform and architecture.
  6. Define implementation costs, resources, risks, and timeline.
  7. Develop a phased implementation roadmap.
  8. Support the implementation of the selected solution.

This is an opportunity to help design a business operating platform from the ground up and play a key role in EWRI's long-term digital transformation as we scale our ITAD, refurbishment, recycling, and technology lifecycle operations across India and internationally.
