A well-established NYC General Contractor and Construction Management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing team.With decades of experience delivering complex projects throughout New York City, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, repeat business and long-standing client relationships. Its portfolio spans hospitality, commercial interiors, retail, healthcare, institutional, landlord and select ground-up projects.
The company is particularly active in high-end hospitality and restaurant construction, making this an excellent opportunity for a Senior PM with experience delivering complex, finish-intensive projects in NYC.
The Role
The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion, working closely with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and the internal project team.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
Key responsibilities include:Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules and budgetsManage contracts, procurement, subcontracts and change ordersLead coordination between clients, architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractorsOversee MEP coordination and complex building systemsManage project documentation, RFIs, submittals and approvalsMonitor project costs and financial performanceIdentify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budgetLead project meetings and maintain strong client relationshipsCoordinate closely with the Superintendent and field teamManage punch list, commissioning and final turnoverMentor and support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers where required

Projects include: Hospitality & Restaurants – restaurants, bars, clubs and entertainment venues Commercial Interiors – corporate offices, tenant improvements and full-floor renovations Retail – high-end and flagship retail environments Healthcare – medical and institutional interiors Institutional – complex renovations and specialty projects Landlord & Base Building – renovations, infrastructure and building improvements Select Ground-Up Construction
Hospitality projects can involve commercial kitchens, complex MEP systems, structural modifications, custom millwork, specialty finishes, FF&E coordination and challenging NYC logistics.
What We're Looking For
8+ years of experience in construction/project managementStrong background with a NYC General Contractor, Construction Manager or DeveloperProven experience managing commercial interiors, hospitality, restaurant or high-end renovation projectsExperience managing projects through preconstruction, construction and closeoutStrong understanding of project financials, contracts, scheduling and change managementExcellent subcontractor and consultant management skillsStrong MEP coordination experienceExcellent communication and client-facing abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced NYC construction environment
Hospitality and restaurant construction experience is strongly preferred.
