Position DetailsJob Title: Telemetry TechnicianLocation: Flushing, NY 11355Contract: 9 WeekShift: Nights - 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM/37.5 Hours per week (Alternating weekends required)Pay Rate: $25–$30/hour
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor cardiac rhythms and continuous pulse oximetry for medical-surgical patients.Identify arrhythmias and communicate rhythm changes promptly to nurses and physicians.Initiate and discontinue telemetry monitoring as ordered.Place and remove telemetry boxes and troubleshoot monitoring equipment.Print rhythm strips, document cardiac activity, and maintain accurate records in Epic.Perform lead placement, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and maintain telemetry equipment.Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital safety protocols.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Minimum 1 year of hospital patient care experience.BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Epic charting experience required.
