Actuary for life, accident and health team

We are seeking a highly motivated and pleasant professional to join our Life, Accident, and Health (LAH) Team in the Asia Pacific Department, to be based in India (GIFT City). The ideal candidates are the ones who can fulfil all the roles and responsibilities as well as match the eligibility criteria listed below.

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting actuarial and underwriting initiatives across the APAC region, working closely with Life Underwriting Management at our headquarters in Madrid. Beyond technical expertise, you'll have the opportunity to shape business development in a rapidly expanding APAC team, contributing to strategic growth in a dynamic environment. This position offers not only exposure to diverse markets but also the chance to influence key decisions and build lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

Independent actuarial pricing and risk analysis for LAH business across APAC markets Communicate and strengthen relationships with clients and brokers, actively driving new business opportunities mainly in India and across Asia Visit to key clients and brokers in India, fostering partnerships and supporting business growth Collaborate with the Life Underwriting Management in headquarters on risk analysis and business approvals Oversee all phase of business transactions to ensure smooth operation Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams to support new business and in-force management

Requirements

Nearly or fully qualified actuary (e.g., FSA, FIA, FIAA or equivalent) under a recognized actuarial body Approximately 5-10 years of experience in life insurance or life reinsurance Experience in pricing for India, Southeast Asia, or Northeast Asia will be highly valued A well-established client network in India, Southeast Asia, or Northeast Asia in LAH market is preferred Fluency in English, with proficiency in any additional Asian language considered a strong advantage Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point and basic computer skills Experienced with R, Python, or other data analysis tools Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a collaborative environment Flexible and open-minded in adapting to dynamic business needs
