Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Vessel Scheduling & Network Operations to lead a team supporting global vessel scheduling and liner network operations.
The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate vessel schedules, voyage and port rotation updates, schedule actualization, berth and cut-off information, SLA adherence, operational quality, stakeholder coordination, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day vessel scheduling activities and team workload.
- Oversee vessel schedules, voyage creation, port rotations, ETB/ETD updates, berth details, cut-off changes, blank sailings, omitted ports, and vessel substitutions.
- Ensure accuracy of schedule-related data and master data across shipping systems.
- Monitor productivity, quality, turnaround time, backlog, and SLA performance.
- Act as the first point of escalation for scheduling discrepancies and operational issues.
- Coordinate with Network Operations, Cargo Operations, Trade Management, port teams, and other global stakeholders.
- Drive SOP compliance, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Coach team members, support onboarding, cross-skilling, and performance development.
- Prepare operational reports and dashboards for management and stakeholder reviews.
Candidate Profile
- 6–10 years of experience in container shipping, vessel scheduling, liner operations, network operations, or maritime logistics .
- Minimum 2 years of Team Lead / Supervisory experience .
- Strong knowledge of vessel scheduling, voyage management, port rotations, berth planning, cut-off management, feeder/mainline operations, and schedule actualization.
- Experience with FIS/FIS3 or equivalent shipping systems preferred.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills; Power BI exposure is an advantage.
- Good stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
- Graduate in Logistics, Shipping, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Background: Candidates currently working with container shipping lines, liner operations, vessel scheduling teams, or shipping GCC/shared service centres.
