Role Overview

To act as a deputy to the CFO, supporting the organization's financial strategy, governance, and performance management, while progressively building end-to-end ownership of the finance function. The role requires a strong financial controller background with manufacturing experience, along with exposure to multinational environments and working with global teams, ensuring robust financial discipline across operations. It is designed as a succession pipeline, with the individual expected to evolve into the CFO position over time through strategic leadership, business partnering, and strong financial stewardship.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance Leadership Support the CFO in shaping and executing the organization's global financial strategy, aligning financial goals with business expansion, profitability, and shareholder value creation. Global Planning & Budgeting Lead enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across multiple geographies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market dynamics. Financial Control & Reporting Oversee end-to-end accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting in compliance with international standards (IFRS/US GAAP) and local statutory requirements across regions. Treasury & Capital Management Manage global treasury operations, including liquidity planning, cash flow optimization, forex risk management, working capital efficiency, and banking relationships. Compliance & Regulatory Governance Ensure adherence to global and local statutory regulations, tax laws, transfer pricing norms, and corporate governance frameworks across all operating entities. Taxation & Structuring Drive direct and indirect tax strategies, including cross-border tax structuring, compliance, and optimization, in line with multinational regulatory environments. Performance Management & Business Partnering Deliver actionable financial insights, MIS, and performance analytics to leadership teams, enabling data-driven decision-making and improved business outcomes. Risk Management & Internal Controls Strengthen enterprise risk management frameworks, internal controls, and audit processes to ensure financial integrity and mitigate operational risks. Stakeholder Management Act as a key liaison with auditors, regulatory authorities, investors, and board members; support CFO in board presentations and strategic discussions. Transformation & Process Excellence Drive finance transformation initiatives, including digitalization, automation, ERP enhancements, and process standardization across global operations. Team Leadership & Capability Building Lead and mentor a high-performing, geographically dispersed finance team; focus on talent development, succession planning, and building future-ready capabilities. Culture & Governance Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with global corporate values and ethics.

Candidate Requirements

CA / CMA (MBA Finance preferred) 20+ years of progressive finance experience with leadership exposure Experience as CFO / Deputy CFO / Finance Head or strong No.2 to CFO Experience managing organizations with ₹800+ Cr turnover, preferably within a multinational environment Exposure to multi-plant operations and pan-India / global sales teams Strong expertise in FP& A, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience in treasury, cash flow, working capital, and banking Strong knowledge of global accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP) Experience in taxation, compliance, corporate governance, and risk management Qualification / exposure as Company Secretary (CS) will be an added advantage Experience working with Board, investors, auditors, and senior stakeholders Proven ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams
