Cash Application Specialist

Carolina PRG is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to identify an experienced Cash Application Specialist to join their accounting team. What You’ll Do:Process and accurately apply daily customer payments, including ACH, wires, checks, and other payment typesReview remittance information and apply payments to the appropriate customer accounts and invoicesResearch and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, deductions, and other discrepanciesReconcile cash receipts and customer accounts to ensure accuracyCommunicate with customers and internal teams to obtain missing remittance information and resolve payment issuesMaintain accurate AR records and documentationAssist with month-end close, reconciliations, and AR reportingWork closely with Credit & Collections, Sales, Customer Service, and other internal teamsIdentify opportunities to improve cash application processes and efficiencyAssist with other AR and accounting responsibilities as needed
What We’re Looking For:2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, or a related accounting xzbcwsv functionExperience applying customer payments and resolving account discrepanciesStrong attention to detail and accuracyComfortable working with high-volume transactions and multiple prioritiesStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExperience working with an ERP/accounting systemStrong communication and problem-solving skillsManufacturing, distribution, or other B2B experience is a plus
