This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a complex payroll function, lead a team, and play a key role in a payroll system transition to CMiC. If you are a hands-on payroll leader who can balance day-to-day execution with process improvement, this could be an outstanding next step.
What You’ll DoLead weekly payroll processing for a large and growing employee populationOversee complex union payroll administration across multiple bargaining agreementsEnsure timely and accurate completion of certified payroll and related compliance reportingManage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll reconciliationsSupervise, coach, and develop a payroll team of 3Support the organization’s transition from Sage to CMiCMaintain payroll accuracy, compliance, and consistency in a deadline-driven environmentPartner with internal teams to resolve payroll issues and improve workflowsIdentify opportunities to streamline manual processes and enhance department efficiency
What We’re Looking ForProven experience in a Payroll Manager or payroll leadership roleStrong background in the construction industry is requiredDeep knowledge of union payroll and union reporting requirementsHands-on experience with certified payrollExperience managing or mentoring payroll staffCMiC experience preferredPrior exposure to payroll system implementations or migrations is highly valuedStrong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead from the front and bring structure to a busy payroll operation
