AjnaLens is looking for a
Senior Manager - Business Development
to join our
Sales & Business Development team
at Thane (Maharashtra – India).
Top 3 Daily Tasks:
Drive end-to-end sales activities
— prospect target accounts, conduct discovery meetings, demos/POCs, prepare proposals, negotiate, and drive deals towards closure. Build and manage the sales pipeline
— generate new opportunities across enterprise, government, PSU, and defence accounts; maintain CRM discipline; follow up with prospects; and ensure adequate pipeline coverage against targets. Engage customers and drive business growth
— build relationships with CXO and senior government stakeholders, develop ROI/value-based business cases, manage key accounts, and identify opportunities for pilots, programme expansion, and partnerships.
Minimum Work Experience / Education Required:
12+ years of professional experience , with substantial experience in
enterprise, B2B, consultative, or solution sales . Proven experience in
business development and end-to-end sales
across enterprise, government, PSU, defence, or other institutional accounts. Experience in
CXO-level engagement, value-based selling, proposal development, commercial negotiations, and deal closure . Bachelor’s degree
in any relevant discipline.

– Ability to drive complex, outcome-based sales and manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closure. CXO & Stakeholder Management
– Strong ability to engage CXOs, senior government officials, PSUs, and other key decision-makers. Business Development & Account Growth
– Ability to identify new opportunities, build strategic accounts, and drive pilots into multi-site and multi-year engagements. Value Selling & Commercial Negotiation
– Strong capability to develop ROI-led business cases, prepare proposals, negotiate commercials, and close high-value deals. Pipeline & Sales Management
– Strong sales discipline with the ability to manage CRM, maintain pipeline coverage, forecast accurately, and consistently work towards order-booking targets.
What You'll Be Expected to Do:
Drive the
end-to-end sales cycle
across enterprise, government, PSU, and defence accounts, from prospecting and discovery to demos, proposals, negotiations, and closure. Build and manage a
strong sales pipeline , maintain CRM discipline, and consistently work towards order-booking targets. Develop
value- and ROI-based business cases , conduct CXO-level engagements, and position solutions around measurable customer outcomes. Manage
government and defence sales processes , including tenders, GeM/e-procurement, vendor registrations, and relevant procurement routes. Manage key accounts and drive
pilot-to-programme expansion , including multi-site and multi-year opportunities. Build and manage
strategic partnerships
with system integrators, OEMs, distributors, and other ecosystem partners. Prepare and negotiate
proposals, commercials, and contracts , ensuring smooth closure and handover to delivery. Track
customer, competitor, pricing, and market insights
and use them to strengthen sales strategies and business growth. Maintain accurate
sales reporting, forecasting, pipeline coverage, and performance metrics , while bringing new ideas to improve the company's bottom line.
