Multiple Positions – Intellectual Property Positions: Manager / Senior Manager / Assistant General Manager -Intellectual Property Locations: Vapi, Gujarat | Delhi | Bengaluru Experience: 8–15 years Function: Intellectual Property Reporting to: Head – Intellectual Property About Micro CRISPR Micro CRISPR is an innovation-driven biotechnology company developing next-generation therapeutic technologies across multiple modalities, including gene editing, cell therapy, RNA therapeutics, gene delivery, biologics and emerging computational approaches. Company Website - The Opportunity As we expand our multi-modality R&D platforms, we are building a strong, technology-focused IP function to support innovation from early discovery through development, commercialization and strategic partnerships. We are looking for experienced IP professionals with expertise in one or more of the following areas: 1. Gene & Cell Therapy IP CRISPR | Gene Editing | CAR-T | Cell & Gene Therapy | AAV/LV | Gene Delivery Develop IP strategy and build patent portfolios around gene/cell therapy platforms. Identify inventions and lead patentability, drafting and prosecution in India and international jurisdictions. Lead/oversee FTO, patent landscapes, competitive intelligence and third-party IP assessments. Support licensing, collaborations, due diligence and IP-related business decisions. 2. RNA & Molecular Therapeutics IP mRNA | siRNA | Oligonucleotides | RNA Engineering | LNP/Delivery | Molecular Therapeutics Develop IP strategy and build differentiated patent portfolios for RNA and molecular therapeutic technologies. Identify and capture inventions covering sequences, modifications, compositions, delivery, formulations, manufacturing and therapeutic applications. Manage patent drafting/prosecution and external counsel across key jurisdictions. Support FTO, competitive intelligence, licensing, technology evaluation and strategic collaborations. 3. Biologics & Emerging Technologies IP Biologics | Antibodies/Proteins | Protein Engineering | Computational Biology | AI/ML | Synthetic Biology Develop IP strategies for biologics and emerging computational/biological technologies. Work with experimental and computational R&D teams to identify, evaluate and protect inventions. Lead patent drafting/prosecution and support FTO, landscapes and competitive intelligence. Support IP due diligence, licensing, technology transfer, collaborations and emerging technology evaluation. Common Responsibilities Across all three roles, the successful candidates will: Partner closely with R&D scientists to identify and protect commercially important inventions. Develop and manage global patent portfolios and external patent counsel. Conduct/oversee patentability, FTO, landscapes, claim mapping and competitive intelligence. Identify third-party IP risks, design-around opportunities and potential licensing requirements. Support IP due diligence, licensing, collaborations and technology-transfer activities. Contribute to patent lifecycle management, IP governance and strategic portfolio decisions. Work closely with Legal, Business Development and senior management on IP-related matters. Help build a scalable, business-oriented IP function. Candidate Profile 8–15 years of relevant experience in biotechnology, biopharma, pharmaceuticals, life-sciences or technology-focused IP. Strong patent drafting and prosecution experience, preferably with international exposure. Demonstrated experience in patentability, FTO, landscapes and/or competitive intelligence. Experience with licensing, collaborations, due diligence or technology transfer is highly desirable. Degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Bioinformatics or related discipline. Strong scientific, analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to translate complex science and IP issues into clear strategic and commercial recommendations. Candidates with a combination of in-house and IP law-firm experience are particularly encouraged to apply. * Final designation will be based on experience, technical depth, leadership capability and overall fit. What We Are Looking For We are looking for IP professionals who can go beyond patent filing and prosecution and act as strategic partners to R&D and business teams—helping Micro CRISPR protect innovation, manage IP risk, evaluate technology, support transactions and create long-term value through IP.
