Role: Commercial Real Estate Attorney (Leasing) – Senior Associate / Non-Equity Partner

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Salary: $200,000 – $345,000 plus additional bonuses (Commensurate with experience)

One of my closest clients is looking to expand its real estate leasing practice due to a significant influx of deal flow this year. This mid-sized New York City real estate boutique is consistently ranked among the city’s top real estate practices by Chambers USA and regularly recognized by Best Lawyers, Legal 500, and other leading directories. The firm represents sophisticated owners, developers, investors, and commercial tenants on high-value leasing, transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters. It is widely regarded for its deep commercial leasing expertise across all major asset classes, strong institutional client relationships, and a collaborative, hands-on culture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Draft and negotiate sophisticated commercial leases for both landlord and tenant clients, covering retail, office, industrial, restaurant, healthcare, and specialty-use properties throughout New York and nationally
• Independently manage leasing transactions from inception through execution with limited supervision
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
• Collaborate across the firm’s transactional, land use, finance, and litigation teams on multi-disciplinary matters
• Handle complex deal structures and advise institutional owners, developers, investors, and commercial tenants on high-value leasing matters

What They're Looking For

• 5+ years of sophisticated commercial leasing experience
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills across a variety of asset classes
• Ability to independently manage complex transactions and client relationships
• Strong academic credentials and New York State Bar admission in good standing required
• Comfort working with limited supervision and taking ownership of sophisticated matters from start to finish
