Position: Academic Counsellor

Location: Amity International School, Gurgaon Sector 46

Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic guidance and counselling to students across different grade levels. Assist students in subject selection, goal setting, and academic planning. Identify students requiring additional academic support and create intervention strategies. Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor student progress. Conduct counselling sessions addressing study skills, time management, motivation, and stress management. Organize workshops on academic success, career awareness, and personal development. Maintain confidential counselling records and prepare student progress reports. Support students during examination periods and transitions between grades. Coordinate with school leadership to implement student wellness and academic support initiatives.

Eligibility:

Master's Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related field. Diploma/Certification in Guidance & Counselling preferred. Minimum 2–5 years of relevant counselling experience in a reputed CBSE/International school. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counselling skills. Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and faculty. Proficiency in MS Office and digital student management systems.

Preferred Skills:

Student-centred approach with strong empathy and active listening. Knowledge of adolescent psychology and academic counselling practices. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to conduct workshops and group counselling sessions.
