Job descriptionRole SummaryWe are looking for a strong Oracle DBA with extensive experience in database administration performance tuning high availability backup recovery and production support The candidate should be comfortable supporting business critical enterprise applications in highly available environments Java development application support experience is a plus
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall configure administer patch and upgrade Oracle databases across production and nonproduction environmentsPerform SQL database performance tuning query optimization indexing execution plan analysis and capacity managementManage Oracle RAC Data Guard ASM RMAN backup recovery database cloning and disaster recovery activitiesMonitor database health troubleshoots production incidents and performs root cause analysisEnsure database availability security integrity and performance for mission critical applicationsSupport database migrations upgrades patching refreshes and release deployment activitiesAutomate routine DBA activities using Shell Python scripting where applicableCollaborate with application infrastructure DevOps and production support teamsProvide support for enterprise applications with strong focus on stability, resiliency and operational excellence
Required SkillsStrong Handson experience as an Oracle DBA preferably supporting large enterprise production environmentsStrong expertise in Oracle Database RAC Data Guard ASM RMAN OEM and database performance tuningExcellent understanding of SQL PLSQL query optimization indexing execution plans backup and recoveryExperience with troubleshooting database performance and production issuesGood understanding of Linux Unix environments and scripting xzbcwsv Experience working with high availability and disaster recovery environmentsGood to HaveJavaJ2EE knowledge with the ability to understand Java based enterprise applications and troubleshoot application database integration issuesExperience with Spring Boot JDBC connection pooling REST APIs or Java application supportExposure to CICD DevOps cloud platforms and database automationPrior experience in banking or financial services is preferred
