Job Description

Controller

Are you curious about technology? Are you comfortable using evolving tools? Are you naturally inclined to explore, adopt, and leverage technology to improve your work? Keystone Technology Consultants is searching for someone remarkable to join our team. This isn’t just a job — it’s an invitation to become part of a team that genuinely cares about the work we do, the clients we serve, and the people we do it alongside. At Keystone, you’ll find a place where your talents are recognized, your growth is supported, and your contribution truly matters.

The Role: Controller

The Controller will embody our Core Values of Fun, Helpful, Trustworthy and Developing. This is a hands-on, owner-level accounting position with full responsibility for KTC's day-to-day accounting operations — accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor billing reconciliation, and related transactional finance work — together with financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and HR functions. The Controller is expected to use hands-on ownership of the numbers to find friction, propose fixes, and build automation using the tools already in KTC's stack (ConnectWise Manage, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Alternative Payments, and related platforms). Strong candidates think like an accountant first and automator second — the automation only works because the person understands the process cold.

This is a remote\hybrid position with intentions to be in the office on occasion.

 Qualifications

·      Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting or business from an accredited college or university preferred; 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle AP/AR, reconciliation, or general ledger work. Experience within an MSP, MSSP, or subscription-billing environment is a plus.

·      Language Skills – Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.

·      Computer Skills - Comfort with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, ConnectWise Manage, Bill.com, and Alternative Payments, or similar ERP/PSA and AP automation platforms; willingness and ability to learn KTC's specific systems along with AI and automation tools used to support internal efficiency.

·      Technical Curiosity – Strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies, with a desire to apply them to real business problems.

·      Problem Solving – Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Why Work at Keystone?

At Keystone, you’re not just another employee, you’re part of a culture that values growth and connection. Our culture is built around our core values: Fun, Developing, Trustworthy, and Helpful. These aren’t just words on a wall, they guide how we work, grow, and support both our team and our clients.

·      Fun  – Work should be meaningful and enjoyable. From monthly Engineering Days filled with creative activities like smashing a copier, kayaking, axe throwing, to daily laughs with the team, fun is at our core.

·      Developing  – We invest in you. Through our Fast and Furious program, we provide training, certifications, and support for professional growth—whether technical or interpersonal.

·      Trustworthy  – Our clients rely on us, and we rely on each other. Integrity and accountability are at the heart of how we work.
