What You'll Be DoingAs a Senior Estimator, you'll serve as a trusted advisor throughout the preconstruction process, helping clients make informed decisions while ensuring projects remain financially viable and strategically positioned for success.
Preconstruction & Estimating LeadershipDevelop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, budget validations, and project proposalsPrepare estimates for:Ground-up commercial constructionTenant improvementsRenovations and remodelsInterior build-outsReview project drawings, specifications, and design intent to develop accurate budgetsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering solutionsLead cost planning efforts from concept through construction documentation
Client-Facing Project LeadershipPresent project budgets and cost information directly to clients and stakeholdersServe as a trusted resource during project planning and design developmentClearly communicate project costs, assumptions, and recommendationsSupport the presentation of DBSI's integrated design-build process and value proposition
Team CollaborationWork closely with architects, designers, project managers, and operations teamsParticipate in design reviews and client planning sessionsGuide project teams on budget implications throughout project developmentProvide strategic cost guidance during key project milestones
Subcontractor & Market DevelopmentSolicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposalsBuild and maintain relationships with qualified trade partners across the countryMonitor labor, material, and market trends to support accurate forecastingContinue expanding DBSI's national subcontractor network
