Job OverviewA law firm seeks a mid-level Securities Litigation Associate Attorney in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in securities, complex commercial, and business litigation, and will be eager to join a dynamic team handling sophisticated disputes.
DutiesRepresent clients in federal and state securities class actions and derivative suits.Handle merger litigation, shareholder disputes, and complex corporate matters.Conduct legal research and draft substantive motions.Engage in discovery, depositions, and case strategy development.Communicate complex legal matters effectively to clients.
Requirements3 to 6 years of significant law firm experience in relevant practice areas.Experience with federal and state securities laws and shareholder claims.Admitted to the bar in the state of practice or eligible for admission by waiver.
EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
CertificationsBar admission in the state of practice.
SkillsStrong legal research and writing abilities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to manage complex litigation matters.Collaborative approach and strong work ethic.
