Pythal is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Kids’ Fashion Designer to design clothing and collections for babies and children aged 0–10 years .

The role requires someone who can take an idea from concept and sketch to a production-ready design , with a strong understanding of kidswear, fabrics, construction, fit and technical specifications.

• Design baby and kidswear collections for ages 0–10 years .
• Develop original concepts, sketches, colour stories, prints, embroidery and garment detailing.
• Research kidswear trends, fabrics, colours, silhouettes and seasonal directions .
• Create accurate and detailed Tech Packs for sampling and production.
• Prepare specifications including measurements, construction details, trims, fabrics, artworks and finishing requirements .
• Select suitable fabrics, trims, buttons, zippers, embellishments and other garment components .
• Work closely with sampling and production teams to translate designs accurately into finished garments.
• Review samples for fit, proportion, comfort, construction and design accuracy .
• Make design and specification corrections based on sample reviews.
• Maintain consistency in design language across collections while developing fresh concepts.
• Support the development of coordinated outfits and collections across different age groups.

• Qualification in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field .
• Strong interest or experience in baby and children’s fashion .
• Good fashion illustration and garment design skills.
• Strong knowledge of Tech Pack development .
• Understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, measurements and sizing.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop .
• Good attention to detail and ability to create production-ready designs.
• Ability to work closely with sampling, sourcing and production teams.

Hands-on knowledge of stitching, pattern understanding, and sample making will be a strong plus.

Candidates who can not only design a garment but also understand how it is constructed and developed into a finished sample will be preferred.

A designer with a strong eye for detail, an understanding of what works specifically for babies and children , and the ability to balance design, comfort, functionality, and quality .
