About the Role: The Senior Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale mechanical and plumbing construction projects. This position supports Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Hard Bid opportunities and works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the estimating process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complete Mechanical and Plumbing estimates for projects exceeding $10 million .

• Develop estimates for Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Hard Bid projects.

• Produce accurate estimates from schematic design documents.

• Prepare comparative estimates based on multiple design alternatives.

• Develop subcontractor scopes, negotiate pricing, and issue subcontracts.

• Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing while negotiating buyout costs.

• Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents.

• Perform material takeoffs, prepare purchase orders, and support project controls.

• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders throughout the estimating process.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience estimating Mechanical Piping, Plumbing, and Heavy Construction projects.

• Proven success in a Hard Bid estimating environment.

• Experience preparing complete Mechanical and Plumbing estimates for projects valued at $10 million or more .

• Strong understanding of construction contracts, front-end specifications, and project documentation.

• Experience negotiating with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• HVAC ductwork estimating experience is preferred but not required.

• Willingness to relocate for project assignments, if necessary.
