JOB SUMMARY Works under minimal direction while collaborating with Clinic Leadership to optimize scheduling workflows that have the best positive outcome for clinic operations, patient access and safety, and provider utilization. This position is responsible for assisting in the technical and operational validation, maintenance and support of Epic Scheduling while maintaining Epic best practices. Performs in-depth analysis of operational scheduling requirements including complex scheduling protocols. Collaborates with other team members to assist in design, validation, and problem resolution. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education High School Experience 3 years of experience in either healthcare technical development or in healthcare operations Preferred Education Associate's Degree in related field or Bachelor's Degree in related field Experience Experience in healthcare scheduling software design preferred JOB DUTIES Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with all UT Southwestern Centralized Patient Access Services (CPAS) internal and external customers and serves as a content expert. Collaborates and consults with essential parties regarding technical scheduling, template design, and change requests. Ensures all changes positively impact UT Southwestern patients and align with business rules. Leads comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Conducts risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies to address potential project constraints. Demonstrates expertise in scheduling operations through analysis of template and scheduling processes and utilization; recommends improvements including enhanced system functionality. Provides change control oversight and forecasts impact to access with proposed changes for patients, providers, and clinics. Provides technical knowledge and education to all UT Southwestern CPAS internal and external customers to ensure adherence to UT Southwestern CPAS departmental and overall organizational standards and goals. Collects and maintains technical design documents of current state and future state that encompass extensive data analytics to allow for data driven technical decision points. Drives and collaborates with Information Resources for technical testing, development, and implementation of new Epic enhancements that directly impact UT Southwestern CPAS internal and external customers. Maintains SharePoint/technical resources outside of Epic. Performs other duties as required.
